Fashion in Milan
Milan hosts the famous Fashion Week, which takes place twice a year, between September and October for the spring/summer fashion shows and between February and March for the autumn/winter ones.
Born in 1958, it is part of the Big Four, the four events considered particularly important as they performed in the fashion Capitals: New York, London, Paris and Milan.
The Fashion Week in Milan is managed from the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, an organism without profit purposes which coordinates and promotes the development of Italian fashion and is responsible for the events planning.
Milan is also the ideal destination for shopping lovers, who have the chance to explore the commercial area around Piazza Duomo and particularly Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Via Torino and San Babila where there are the big clothing brands.
